I spent some magical time in the garden rooms of this magnificent garden, so beautiful in winter it offers a quiet invitation to meditate on the beauty of Nature. 

The sculpture through the garden are missives to ponder on greater mysteries of life. 

This garden is a poem written in restrained structure but with a wild and passionate perspective that makes it unique in Australian gardens -do visit at any time of the year to restore the spirit. 

Winter comes

With faint dry sound,

Like steps of passing ghosts,

The leaves, frost-crisp'd, break from the trees

Love the wild of winter and the moments of deep silence after the frost. I know the gentle delights that are to come with the early bulbs and the cyclamens that light the dark days. Thinking of new Nature Study cards. 

Endless horizons

This girl...did she know she would walk African savannahs, paddle up river in Borneo jungle and meet the man of her dreams on a dusty Northern Territory road.
